October 14-15, 2023: Thirty church members were equipped for one-on-one street evangelism, and we had 21 people receive Jesus through two quick outreaches this past weekend in Port St. Lucie, Florida!
Real Life Church in Port St. Lucie (Pastors Kurt and Terry Owen) asked me to host two workshops, showing their people how to win the lost and then put what they learned into practice.
I taught them for about an hour and a half. We then went out to practice what they learned at a few Walmart stores.
When we returned, we had a debriefing session and shared testimonies. One church member, John, shared one of my favorite testimonies from the weekend!
John and his wife approached a young man and shared the gospel with him, using the method I taught him that morning. The young man agreed he needed a savior and John led him in the salvation prayer. Just as he was saying the last few lines of the prayer, the young man’s mother walked up and began to weep. The mother said she had been praying for years that he would get saved!
John later told me that he had been serving the Lord for 48 years and had never been taught such a simple, easy method to lead people to Christ!
The church members also gathered the names and contact information of the people they approached so the church could follow up with the new Christians for discipleship and help build the church!
It was such a success that Pastor Terry invited me back to train the church members again for their next big Christmas outreach in the community.
It was an amazing weekend of changing lives and equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry!
