Our Evangelism Workshop at West Coast Word Church in Tarpon Springs, Florida, was attended by 20 church members, and it was the first evangelistic outreach for 12 of them!

Many of them missed the fact that there was going to be a street outreach in the description and said they wouldn’t have come had they known! One church member said he couldn’t believe he was actually going to go out and be a “radical” Christian!

In the short, 45-minute street outreach, the church members experienced the heart of God for the lost. They were surprised at how many people rejected the gospel and how many trusted in their good works for salvation.

Regardless, the team came back excited and eager to give testimonies of what they experienced. Five people received Jesus, despite the fact many of them had never done this before!

My favorite testimony was from Mark and Jessica who went to a park near WCWC: This was their first evangelistic outreach, and they were rejected by everyone right up until the last minute! As they left, Jessica felt led to share the gospel tract with a teenage girl sitting alone at a picnic table. As they told her God loved her and had a good plan for her life, the young woman began to cry. She shared how she felt alone after moving to the area and faced many problems. She received Jesus as her Savior, and now she will never be alone again. Praise God!
